The tourism sector is one of the cornerstones of the Emilia-Romagna economy. However, it is not immune to complex challenges such as global crises, climate emergencies, and market fluctuations. To ensure the competitiveness of destinations and the safety of travelers, the sector must evolve, focusing on resilience and adaptability.
A new tourism development model is needed to revitalize the sector in an innovative way, enhancing local specificities and responding to the needs of new tourists. This involves:
  • The creation of personalized, authentic and innovative tourism products
  • Adopting effective marketing strategies, with a focus on digital
  • Attracting new tourist flows through an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable offering
  • The synergistic integration of different forms of tourism to enhance the unique features of the area
Tourism Training Programs with ESF+ Support
Thanks to funding from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the CESCOT Emilia-Romagna Network (INCLUDING CESCOT MODENA) offers customized training programs, designed to meet the specific needs of the region's various tourist areas. The courses aim to develop up-to-date skills in three key areas:
  • Sustainability: to promote responsible and sustainable tourism.
  • Digitalization: addressing the challenges of digital marketing and management.
  • Organizational Management: To improve business efficiency and innovation.
Project Recipients
The project is aimed at two main categories:
  • People (unemployed or employed) who wish to update their skills to work in the tourism sector, through Continuing Education courses
  • Workers already active in the tourism sector, including employees, entrepreneurs and professionals, who require continuous training courses to further develop their business
The training courses are aimed at the entire tourism sector:
  • Hospitality services
  • Public establishments
  • Shops
  • Travel agencies
  • Event organization
  • Food craftsmanship
Areas of Expertise Covered in the Courses Technical and operational skills: for professionals such as travel agency or incoming staff, counter staff, waiters, bartenders, entertainers, receptionists, sales staff and marketing managers, digital marketing and content creators, to use innovative tools and improve their roles.

Soft skills: such as communication, self-empowerment, customer care, team building, time management, sales, and language skills.

Management and organizational skills: aimed at entrepreneurs and managers, with a focus on innovation, digitalization, and sustainability.
